1953 On June 20 Annette Curtis, daughter of Graham Trevor (radiologist) and Mary Francis (homemaker; maiden name, Kempe) is born in Bristol, England.
1960 Annette and her family move north to Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
1968 Annette moves to the United States.
1976 Annette receives a B.A. from the University of Maryland.
1978 Annette receives an advanced degree in library science (MLA).
1979 August 11, 1979, Annette marries a library assistant named Mark Jeffery Klause.
1982 From 1982-94, Klause writes book reviews and periodicals for the School Library Journal.
1984 Short story "Librarians from Space" is published in The U*n*a*b*a*s*e*d Librarian.
1990 The Silver Kiss is published.
1992 Short story "The Hoppin" is published in Short Circuits.
1993 Alien Secrets is published.
1996 Short story "The Bogey Man" is published in Night Terrors: Stories of Shadow and Substance.
1997 Blood and Chocolate is published.
1997 Blood and Chocolate optioned by MGM movie studios.
2001 Short story "Summer of Love" is published in Color of Absence.
2005 Jaunary 10, 2005: Klause's fourth novel, Freaks: Alive on the Inside! is published by Margaret K. McElderry.
2007 Blood and Chocolate movie slated to be released in the US.
